Abstract

The present research has been conducted in order to extract educational goals for the public formal education system of the Islamic Republic of Iran taking into account the Islamic approach to the difference between men and women. Therefore, using a descriptive-analytical method, it deals with the creational differences between men and women in characteristics such as intelligence, emotion, modesty, zeal, maturity, and sexual instinct. The writer further elaborates on the difference between men and women in terms of legal or legislative roles and responsibilities. These differences have something to do with the role of women as wives, mothers, and housewives, and the role of men as caretakers, breadwinners of their families and defenders of their country. Finally, based on the mentioned differences, the educational goals have been examined in the framework of the person's relationship with God, taking into account the differences between men and women according to Sharia rulings, the creational and legislative characteristics of both men and women.
