Abstract
Today, the educational systems of Islamic societies, especially Iran, face many challenges, among which we can mention the prevalence of postmodernist teachings. Postmodern anthropology and its educational implications should be considered based on the views of Allameh Tabatabai. In this article, the foundations of postmodern anthropology and consequently the process of education have been studied and criticized from the perspective of Allameh Tabatabai. This study indicates the fundamental differences between these two schools about man and the process of education. As a result, it is not possible to make full use of postmodernist teachings in the Iranian educational environment by ignoring these differences and differences in the foundations of anthropology.
